  Hi I signed up for a WordPress free site *.wordpress.com but when I hit the launch site button WordPress wants me to sign up for a paid subscription. So how do I publish my WordPress free site without incurring a subscription.

  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  After clicking the “Launch site” button, when you reach the page where you’re prompted to pick a domain, just type anything and you’ll see a “skip the domain purchase” at the bottom.

  Fantastic! yep that sorted it, thanks a million for that. Now all I’ve got to figure out is how to remove the useless “Next Page” button that doesn’t do anything WordPress have placed in the footers.
