You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.
Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.
Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.
Try the change here first > http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/

1. Try flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/
2. Try the full reconnect procedure again detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.
3. See also publicize troubleshooting http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#troubleshooting
Note: RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti can be used for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

If the connection between Twitter and WordPress.com gets disconnected for some reason, don’t worry, just follow these steps and you’ll be back on track again in no time. http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-twitter
Please note that reconnecting Publicize with Twitter and/or Facebook does not re-publicize missed posts, but it will work for future posts.

Hi TimeThief,
Thank you for your response but I figured out what the problem is and that has nothing to do with email address.
1) I sent a first publicise to twitter and all works fine. clicking on the short URL takes me back to my current WP page.
2) In another consecutive post, I created that published to twitter, that is where the problem begins. and the problem is in WP.
— Here is what I did, I opened that WP post in editing mode. The permalent <— reflects the full address fine . I clicked the button –> get shortlink <— that short URL that pops up is the source of the problem. when I paste it in the browser, it takes me to my deleted address page.
— under the dashboard settings I checked –> shortLINK <– that shortlink when I paste it is correct. So WP has two areas of shortlink and they are not the same.I still did my clearing browser and my reconnection. no avail. as I said, something is happening in WP.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

to understand what I am saying please see the destination of these two link posts in twitter: the short URL looks the same but pasted in the browser, two seperate destinations.

Hi there!
I checked things out and I show that your shortlinks for each post are different:
Oblivion post
http://wp.me/p3sTqk-pLaunch WP blog post
http://wp.me/p3sTqk-gPlease note that while the shortlinks are similar, they end in two different letters – p and g respectively.
Currently you have Publicize enabled for your Twitter account – that means any new post will automatically be posted to your Twitter account when you publish it. No need to find shortlinks or post it to Twitter separately.
I hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any questions.
