Publishing via Byword has a problem.

    Dear WordPress.com support team.

I’m using Byword app to write an article by markdown. And I publish it via Byword publishing function to WordPress.com.

By the way, when I publish it via Byword, footnote functions doesn’t work appropriately. When I click the number [1], [2], [3], it goes to “http://example.com/artticle1/1/” “http://example.com/artticle1/2/”, “http://example.com/artticle1/2/”

It works fine if I copy and paste the article to wordpress.com website directly. And it works fine when I publish it to other blog(ex. Tumblr).

I also asked this problem to Byword app developers, and they said it’s the problem of WordPress.com API, so they cannot help me.

Would you please check this problem and fix it?

    Thanks.

    Best,
    Kim.

    Hey there, Kim!

Unfortunately, Byword cannot be used to import directly into your WordPress.com blog. The most effective way to publish posts on WordPress.com is to create them directly in our editor. Then, you can auto-publish to outside social networking sites if you like:

However, if creating your articles in Byword is very important to you, you may look into a self-hosted WordPress.org site, rather than a WordPress.com-hosted blog.

Here is information about the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com:

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
