‘pull-2’ images in Wu Wei not appearing correctly
-
I have used the css class “pull-2” on several images on my blog in order to align them off to the left of the main content box.
Unfortunately I’ve noticed in the past few days that all these images are now appearing in the wrong position. For example this page was appearing fine a few days ago, but now the images are falling off the right side of the page:

Just to reiterate, these images were previously appearing correctly, but now aren’t even though I’ve not edited the page in any way.
Any suggestions why this is now happening? Thanks.

I’m having the same problem with my Wu Wei theme except I don’t use CSS. Images that were center-justified are now left, etc.

I’m having the exact same problem too! My blog doesn’t look so good with all the images to the left.
I hope it gets fixed soon!

So we are thinking it’s a Wu Wei problem? Good to know I’m not the only one but I hope it gets resolved for all of us soon!

If you believe there is a problem in the theme, then please contact Staff with your details so they are aware that there is an issue. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

@cyclingjournal, your images are 700px wide as displayed in the that page. Wu Wei has a maximum image width in the post area of 460px.
You need to reinsert those images using the “full-sized” setting and wordpress will automatically make the image 460px wide. Either that or fix the images and upload them again

My images are all under 700 but I’m still having them pull to the left in both drafts and published posts. Here’s an example of a post that contained all “centered” photos until this week:

@cs1122, you might have some stuff fighting in your images since I see you applying “center alignment” via the text alignment buttons and then applying “center alignment” via the image insert panel. I’m not sure on that.
I’ve got a horrible cold right now and the stuff I’m taking to try and help clear it up is making me sort of wonky and I’m not thinking entirely straight so perhaps someone else will pop in here and help. I’m kind of useless at the moment.

That’s ok, you’ve offered a lot of help thus far! I’m pretty sure I only used the image insert panel when I originally wrote the post, but I don’t remember 100%. And my biggest concern is why already-posted content has changed. That post is just one example out of many of my posted entries where the photos are now misaligned. If I hit “edit” on that entry, all the photos are aligned center in draft form, as they originally were.

thesacredpath: thanks for your reply. Using larger images combined with the css class ‘pull-1’ or ‘pull-2’ is a feature of the theme. See here (I know it’s referring to the .org self hosted version of the theme, but it’s worked on my .com site up until this point):
http://projects.equivocality.com/wu-wei/2009/05/20/breaking-out-of-the-grid/
Basically, everything was working well, and images were aligning correctly, until a couple of days ago.
I’ll follow timethief’s suggestion and contact WordPress about the problem.
Thanks for your help.

@cyclingjournal, yes wait for staff to contact you about it. The one thing to remember is that there are differences between the .ORG and .COM versions of themes, and it could be that staff pulled that functionality out of it for whatever reason. Don’t know what that would be, but I’ve seen them do that before.
