Pull images other than /uploads dir

    can I somehow tell wordpress that it should pull images in /wp-content/uploads/ from a different location?

    it is thousands of images, so some script/plugin/bulk solution would be good

      You can’t on the wordpress.com platform. I took a look in the wordpress.org plugins and found 1 plugin. Unfortunately the plugin is not retroactive for images already uploaded and the developer can’t guarantee it will work.

      A possible solution is to write a custom script or find someone who can. But at the end it’s a bad idea to change some elementary settings of wordpress.
