Pull quote (Twenty Fourteen)
-
Hello again,
So I am trying to figure out how to do a pull quote for the Twenty Fourteen. I don’t quite understand the instructions.
“Pull quotes can be enhanced by adding a class of pull to the blockquote element that is already left- or right-aligned.”
So I tried:
<div class= “pull-right”></div>
ORand then aligning it, but to no avail. Help?

The documentation could definitely be better on this! The code you need is:
`
Your quote here.

You can use alignright for right-aligned quotes. If you want the quote to pull from the middle of a paragraph, I recommend putting the code right after end-of-sentence punctuation.
Good luck!

Oops, that didn’t work so well, did it? The code again is:
blockquote class=”alignright” or blockquote class=”alignleft” inside a tag.

In other words, you switch the editor to “Text” and turn this:
<blockquote>
to this:
<blockquote class="alignleft">
or this:
<blockquote class="alignright"> -

I’ve been trying to follow this discussion for writinginsidevt.com to no avail. Perhaps I have a misconception about how a pullquote looks: but isn’t it a blockquote with panache? I mean, I put in the code for it to align right, but it just looks the same as an old blockquote.
I’d be most obliged for your help!
Thanks.
