Pull Quotes Not Working in Atlas Theme

Atlas Theme
When I try to add a Pull Quote in Gutenberg it just shows up as a normal quote.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. This is the case with several (mostly retired) themes, though I’m not sure if that’s intentional with current ones like Atlas. I’ve tagged staff to confirm, so you’ll likely receive a response within a few hours. :)

Hi, @torres126 is probably right; older themes aren’t necessarily ready for blocks.
Still, could you send a link to a post that’s supposed to have a pullquote? The ones I’m seeing right now have regular quotes.
Also, let us know what style differences you’re expecting; we’ll see what we can do.
-
I don’t have one up up that should have a Pull Quote because the Theme won’t create one. I am not sure what you feel you need from me.
-
Okay. Would you mind creating a draft post with a pull quote? You can call it test or it can be a real post, whatever you prefer. Thanks!

The draft post is now there called:
SAMPLE PULL QUOTE -Lightroom Tip: Adding Photos Back to a “Smart Publish Collection”
The Pull Quote looks like a regular quote.
Thank you.

I now have a post with a pull quote live on my site:
https://davidenzel.net/2019/01/27/international-holocaust-remembrance-day-january-27/
It does not look like a Pull Quote.

Hi David,
You’re correct that the pull quote in this theme appears as a regular block quote, but that is because this theme does not support pull quotes – even with the classic editor there is no way to add pull quotes in the theme.
The new block editor has a pull quote block, but the theme still has to have specific styling added for pull quotes before content added in that block will actually display as a pull quote, and the authors of this theme (we did not make this theme, we only sell it), have not added support for that. We cannot force the authors of third-party themes we sell to add support for specific features.
However, you can add this styling yourself by adding custom CSS to the theme. Go to My Site ->Customize ->Additional CSS and paste this in:
/* add styling for pull quote block */ @media screen and (min-width: 800px) { .wp-block-pullquote { margin-left: -150px; padding-right: 50px; float: left; display: inline; } .wp-block-pullquote blockquote { width: 400px; } .wp-block-pullquote blockquote p { font-size: 20px; margin-bottom: 0; text-align: left; } }Now check your pullquote. Is that what you’re looking for? You can play around a bit with the
margin-left,widthandfont-sizevalues to get it looking the way you want it.Let us know if you need more help with this. Also note your Business Plan gives you access to live chat support for help with questions like these at https://wordpress.com/help/contact

Thank you. I went back to the Twenty Nineteen theme. It is less fancy but I prefer the larger font and it handles pull quotes the way I want out of the box.
-
Twenty Nineteen is currently the best theme to get the best possible use out of blocks, yes, as it was specifically created to be used with the block editor :)
Please let us know if we can help with anything else.
