PULLING MY HAIR OUT!
-
If you run this site in the WordPress profiler, you will see that it belongs to me (Ellen Field). I have had my email and password saved in my passwords for the last two words and have had no previous issues accessing my website.
However, now when I login using the same email and password, it says a link has been sent. The problem is that the email is a wordpress email so I can’t access the link. My other email, which I did get an email to from wordpress, if I use it to login, then the accelerating-cce.ca website is not listed as a website I have access to.
I am somehow caught in a loop and unable to get access to the website, dashboard, or invoices. I need to get my invoice asap to clear my company credit card. Please contact me asap to resolve this issue. I never had an issue previously!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @ellenfield1,
This sounds like an account access/login issue that needs staff help immediately. I’m tagging this with modlook so the WordPress.com team can assist you.
In the meantime, here’s what might help:
- Check which email is registered to the site:
- The site profiler shows ownership, but your WordPress.com account email might be different
- You may have multiple WordPress.com accounts
- Try password reset:
- Go to: https://wordpress.com/log-in
- Click “Lost your password?”
- Try both email addresses you mentioned
- Check spam/junk folders:
- WordPress login links sometimes end up in spam
- Check all folders for the magic link email
Important: Since you need access to invoices urgently and this involves account/billing access, staff will need to verify your account ownership and help you regain access.
Staff will need:
- Your account email(s)
- The site domain: accelerating-cce.ca
- Proof of ownership/payment information
The WordPress.com team works through tagged threads daily and should be able to help you resolve this access issue and get your invoice.

As you have a paid plan, you simply use the transaction id to restore access to the account owning that site – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#verify-your-account-ownership

Hi @ellenfield1!
Thank you for sharing all of this information with us.
I will contact you by email, so we can further discuss this!

Hi again, @ellenfield1!
Thank you for sharing this.
I have already sent the email address to you. You may have to check your spam or junk mail if you’re not seeing it in your inbox.
Please let me know if you have any questions on this!
-
Did you send to (email visible only to moderators and staff)? I have just checked my spam and trash folders and my inbox and there is nothing there. Can you share what the subject line is? Or from what address? I am seeing nothing.
-
Hi @ellenfield1,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble locating the email.
I did send it to that email address, and it’s under the subject line of “Follow-Up on WordPress.com Forum Discussion”.
If you’re still unable to find the email, please let me know!
-
There is nothing!!!! I have checked multiple times. I just found my transaction ID and submit an account recovery request too. This seems way too inefficient! Please double check that you sent it to (email visible only to moderators and staff)
-
Hi @ellenfield1,
I appreciate your patience with this.
I can confirm that the email was sent. That being said, I also see that you’ve submitted the account recovery request.
We will continue our conversation with you through that email thread instead.
