Hello, As I was creating my account, I was attempting to purchase a domain with it. It gave me the option of a domain (which I chose) and at check out it was around $35, maybe $38 – with change. My computer froze and I was not able to finalize the purchase. Now, when attempting to purchase the same domain it is now charging me over $100.
Is there a way to fix this? I really do not want to pay that amount for the domain when I saw it for cheaper.

That is because you are entering the domain URL before selecting the Personal Plan.
Please go to https://wordpress.com/pricing/ to upgrade.

You can use the Personal Plan, yes, but you need to add the plan first. If you add the domain first, Premium is selected automatically.
Go to My Site ->Plans and buy the Personal Plan, and then you can go back and claim your free domain at My Site ->Domains ->Add.

& Yes, I tried that first, but when attempting to purchase the domain it says it now must be upgraded to premium (which I do not need).
