i need help if its possible for me to puchase a domain name with .ca extension from WordPress?

No your cannot purchase a .ca domain name through WordPress.com. You can purchase it elsewhere and then purchase domain mapping to map an existing domain and staff will provide a zone record.

so it means additional expenses for me right? for the domain registration to the other company and mapping from WordPress?
is there anyway i can do that without too much expenses?

Yes it will cost you more to purchase a domain name elsewhwre first and then purchase only the domain mapping from WordPress.com. The domain name part of the upgrade is only $5. and you can’t beat that. WordPress.com is offering a domain mapping upgrade that includes the domain name but it cannot be a .ca domain extention. Even though I am a Canadian I don’t have .ca domains. My domains are .com domains and I purchased them through WordPress.com.

You can ASK staff for the option. Contact them directly via your dashboard Help button. They’ve made exceptions for Brazil and Poland, so maybe they will for Canada too.
