Purchase Hosting subscription

  What do I need to do to purchase Hosting subscription for WP for our domain name? It is registered with Namecheap; I’d like to keep it there. The website is currently being hosted by WiX.com, which I’d like to cancel as soon as hosting is moved over to WordPress. (My other website has been hosted by WordPress since 2012 BUT I’m tech-challenged; my webmaster is ill – so I need to get this straightened out myself due to timing constraints.)

  Hi there,

  Did you sign up for one of the hosting plans with WordPress.com? If you want to use your custom domain that’s registered with Namecheap, you need to upgrade to Personal plan. Here are the pricing plans: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  You can map your existing domain to your new WordPress.com site by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  After that, you can contact Namecheap and ask them to point your domain’s name servers to:
  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  And @myhomeelves, I noticed you have a pretty new site here on our servers. I didn’t see the one from 2012 on your account. Can you send a link to the other site so we can confirm it’s hosted here? If it is and you’d like both sites to be under one account, we can help you straighten that out.

  Or, if it isn’t on our servers, you might check in with your webmaster to see if they wanted a second WordPress.org installation.
