  Hello wordpress,

  I am currently trying to pay but I forgot to unlock my card and the system says purchase is currently blocked.

  The “purchase is currently blocked” message is coming from your bank or card issuer, not from WordPress.com. Your card is simply locked on the banking side, which is preventing the payment from going through.

  Here’s what to do:

  1. Unlock your card: contact your bank directly, log into your banking app, or send a text/USSD code if your bank supports that (many do). Once unlocked, the block is lifted immediately.
  2. Try the purchase again on WordPress.com: go back to the checkout page and retry with the same card. It should go through without any issues once the card is active.
  3. If the payment still fails after unlocking: try these quick checks:
     • Make sure the card hasn’t expired
     • Confirm the billing address you entered matches what your bank has on file
     • Try a different browser or clear your browser cache before retrying
