  First of all, this is a “no judging” zone. Because I messed up.

  Usually I am a lot brighter but tonight I bought an template on Etsy for “Blogger” instead of WordPress. It didn’t occur to me at the time that Blogger is a website, not just the name of what I am trying to do (…blog.) I now have a HTML that needs to fit into CSS or whatever that means.

  Any tips?

  Yes. Get your money back. You cannot use an external theme on a wordpress.com blog at all. You could do it on a WordPress.org blog, if you were great with code. There is no way you can use that theme.
