Purchased A Domain Name, Where Are My Plug-Ins?

    I just purchased a domain name for $18. Before purchasing the domain name, there were no options for installing plug-ins. Now that I have purchased a domain name through wordpress.com, they’re still is no option for installing plug-ins in the admin bar. Why? I thought this would allow me to finally install plug-ins.

    It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress.org blogs.
