Purchased domain does not link to the correct site
-
I recently purchased a domain for a design portfolio that I’m planning to build “douglasjohnsondesigns.com”.
I noticed that it was connecting to the old site that I made in 2021 “eziekbby.wordpress.com”. To stick with the correct branding I had in mind, I deleted eziekbby.wordpress.com and made a new site “douglasjohnsondesigns.wordpress.com” but I cannot connect the domain I purchased to this new site.
How can I transfer the domain I purchased to this new site? Do I need to refund my purchase? (still have about 42 hours left to do so)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

you need to update nameserver to wordpress.com and point out the domain to wordpress.com from your purchased place, once it done , you can change the primary address of the website under domain and it will be connected to your site

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out!
It looks like the douglasjohnsondesigns.com was cancelled and refunded, and this was on the site: douglasjohnsondesigns.wordpress.com.
Would you like us to restore the domain? We would need to send a separate email to you so that re-purchase can be made.
In addition, are you looking to purchase a plan? The reason why I ask is because, the domain would be free for the first year of registration – and in order to set a custom primary domain a paid plan would need to be in place.
If yes, tell me more about the features you require and I guide you toward the right plan for you. :)
