Purchased domain through WordPress but it says it's Godaddy?
-
Hi, I recently upgraded to premium and registered thatbasicbitch.com to host as my website. I wanted people to be able to go to that to view my blog. It says it is actually being hosted by GoDaddy though, when you look it up – and I have no way to edit the nameservers. I’ve never even had a GoDaddy account. Can anyone advise?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
It looks like you mapped thatbasicbitch.com to WordPress.com, which is a bit different than registering a domain. Mapping a domain assumes you have already registered it elsewhere. You’re correct in that it looks like the domain is registered at GoDaddy. Do you remember registering it there previously (the registrant is currently set as Brett Bloethner)?
If so, you’ll need to follow the steps here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#how-to-change-your-name-servers
If not, it looks like someone else has already registered it so you will not be able to use it for your site. In that case, I could help you setup something like thatbasicbitch.co. Would that work?

Just to confirm, we’re moving forward with setting up thatbasicbitch.co. Is that correct?
I’ll remove the current domain so you can register the new one free of charge!

Can you try registering thatbasicbitch.co following the steps here?
Since a domain is included in the Premium bundle, you shouldn’t have to pay anything additional.

I made some adjustments that fixed this. It looks like you were able to register the domain at no additional cost. Please let me know if you need anything else!

Thanks so much! One quick thing, I purchased an email address through google apps I believe but didn’t get any additional information about it- unless I am missing it. Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi!
It doesn’t look like Google Apps was purchased alongside your domain. Otherwise, it would appear here:
https://thatbasicbitch.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
I’m betting that because your Premium bundle was already setup and the domain was getting added to that bundle, the Google Apps purchase was dropped off your registration.
You can still set this up through Google Apps directly though. We have instructions for doing that here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/add-email-through-google-apps/
Can you give that a try?
