Purchases are currently disabled?

    I’ve been trying to upgrade my site to the Business plan ($300/yr) since Friday so that I can migrate my self-hosted site for my Business to WordPress.com however I have continued to get the following error at checkout “Purchases are currently disabled. Please contact us to re-enable purchases.”

    I reached out to someone via chat who said they forward the message along for me, I also submitted an error report yet I still haven’t heard from anyone.

    The slow response times from have me reconsidering migrating my site to WordPress.com – what happens if my Business site goes down – will it take 3+ days to resolve? Unacceptable.

    This is a billing problem, not a tech support problem, and our billing support team primarily works during US business hours, Monday to Friday, unlike tech support available for the Business Plan which is 24/7.

    I see there is currently a ticket open with them for your account. Someone from that team will follow up with you via email, hopefully still today.

    We’re not able to help with blocked purchases here in the public forums, so I’m closing this thread to further replies.
