Purchases are disabled

  Hi there,

  We’re trying to upgrade the site using an Indian credit card and eventually, after trying many cards, it shows “Purchases are disabled”

  We’ve also followed the Contact Us link to re-enable purchases.

  Hi there,

  We’re trying to upgrade the site using an Indian credit card and eventually, after trying many cards, it shows “Purchases are disabled”

  We’ve also followed the Contact Us link to re-enable purchases.

  After some failed transactions attempt through credit cards, WordPress.com disables purchases for some time. I’m not sure about the time period, though. I think it will be disabled for 24 to 48 hours.

  For immediate access to purchases section, you have to contact WordPress.com team. Here is the support document that will explain to you how to take help from WordPress.com support team: https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/. (Although, I think you have already contacted them)

  I am also adding Modlook tag here for staff intervention. They would be able to help you! :)

  Hi there,

  I was advised that this has been fixed but it is not. I think you need to change the currency to INR for the account. It still is showing in USD. That could be the catch.

  Please advise

  I am sorry still not working. Transactions are still declined through my debit card

  Sometimes your bank may block the transaction, even if your debit or credit card works for other purchases. Please contact your bank to confirm that they are not blocking transactions from WordPress.com.
