Purchasing a Domain

  Hi,
  I want to get a custom domain for my site. I was going through the suggested domains on wordpress and found one with 18$ annual payment. There are few things that I want to clarify before proceeding.
  1) Is there any initial buying cost for domain or annual payment is all that I have to pay. (Every year)
  2) Will my site address be fully customised to that domain name or wordpress domain will still appear in my address???

  You can purchase a .com domain through us for $18, but you will need a Pro plan to set it as your site’s primary address https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#set-a-primary-address otherwise example.com would just redirect to example.wordpress.com

  The Pro plan includes your first year of domain registration for free, so I recommend starting there instead: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Hey there, you need to be on a pro plan in order to add your own domain. Also, you get a free domain for 1year with the pro plan. And yes, you will need to make payments each year to keep them.

  As for your another question, yes your website will show your custom domain after making it a primary adddress.
