Purchasing a domain to my WordPress does not conceal WordPress

Purchasing a domain to my WordPress does not conceal WordPress ie. going to http://www.thestealingofemily.co.uk goes to http://martinnewbold.wordpress.com and shows this in url bar not http://www.thestealingofemily.co.uk
Secondly when i created this wordpress i was offered thestealingofemily not martinnewboldmn. it seems i created this but left this adrift not connected to my site . This now shows https://thestealingofemily.wordpress.com/ and thestealingofemily.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.
I wrote to support but they refered me here

Did you just purchase a domain? If you purchase an annual plan a custom domain is included free for the first year. Buying a domain alone redirects it to the free address. You need a paid plan to make a custom domain the primary address of a site here.
thestealingofemily.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
Did you delete that address or did you change the address to a different free one? If you deleted it less than 30 days ago staff might be able to recover it.

No , It said on the help the staff, could resolve the problem with the WordPress domain URL on the helpfile. currently they referred me here. I can’t move forward with advertising with the site in this state.
- When I navigate browser to put in URL https://www.thestealingofemily.co.uk
Itchanges it to http://martinnewbold.wordpress.com not the WordPress I registered or stayed withhttps://www.thestealingofemily.co.uk - The Hemmingway template has not worked creating extra menus as text with no URL and placed Hemmingway as the author. I have had to edit template to make this work for my name as the author. This now works and has menus.
- There appears to be no menu structure in your WordPress which is available in other WordPress Installations this means editing menus is restricted and difficult.
- I didn’t delete it just changed to another thing in use elsewhere. martinnewboldmn. Yes I purchased http://www.thestealingofemily.co.uk no it was not free. I have not ordered paid plan as I wanted to ensure this all worked which currently it does not.
- When I navigate browser to put in URL https://www.thestealingofemily.co.uk
-
I also need to get navigation headers on the front page when I try to edit the header it wipes out the existing header.
-
I got the headers on the first page just need to resolve outstanding issue. Which seems website is stalled thirty days.

If you changed a free address ending in .wordpress.com then you have lost the original address forever, as you would have been warned.
Your site needs an annual paid plan to enable you to set the custom domain as the primary address.

I didn’t do this I gave it thestealingofemily.wordpress.com it was the registration system that lost it not me. it converted this to some other account I am not going to pay you a paid plan when your system broken, and you provide no evidence this is being taken seriously. When I paid for thestealingofemily.co.uk came back and looking it had this martinnewboldmn from another site. I didn’t lose anything your system and templates which are broken did this.
Gosh no wonder my friends say your site is full of problems and they won’t use it please get a grip and you won’t need to be so aggressive on marketing.I informed you I am not advertising or buying annual paid plan other than my domain URL until you please get a grip and realise this is your fault not mine.

I found a better template the original was really broken i am still awaiting answers on my other posts.
