Purchasing a WP plan

  • Unknown's avatar

I have purchased Avada and now discover I can’t use with WP unless I subscribe to a business plan. I represent a non-profit org in Mexico/US. Our previous website was HTML tables and although old school, it provided me with everything I need with the ability to have a different page with same formatting for up to 300 individual artists. We want to modernize the site and become mobile app friendly. I am currently with Wix because a student chose it to create a website for us as a school project, but I have discovered after many painful hours that Wix cannot handle the approx 300 individual pages. Does WP have a theme that will do this? If so, I will sign up with WP.

    Hi marianne,

Wordpress has no page limits on either a self hosted or through WordPress.com, so you’re good to go.

    Hope this helps!

  • Hi there,

You don’t need either a specific theme, nor a paid plan, to have 300 pages with the same formatting on a WordPress.com site. We even have a Copy Page feature, so after you create the first page, copy it however many times you want, and just modify the content of the copies.

    Copy a Page or Post

If you tell us a bit more about specifically what you’re looking for/how you want the pages to look, we can also try to help with the steps you’d need to follow to achieve that.

As for the theme, all that really controls is how the site looks from a design point of view. It doesn’t control how it works. So have a look at the themes we have available at https://wordpress.com/themes/ and pick one that has the aesthetic you want. If you’d like specific features, you can also use the built-in filters in our theme showcase to narrow down your options, but I do recommend you look at the first 12 or so themes listed on that page, as those are our newest and are optimised to work with the block editor.

    That’s not entirely accurate.

While the WordPress software has no limitation, on a self-hosted site the amount of content you can add is limited by the amount of disk space allocated to the site on the server, and with cheaper hosting plans it’s not uncommon for there to be a limit on the number of post/pages a site can have.

But WordPress.com hosting comes with unlimited disk space and bandwidth, so here there is no limit.
