purchasing credits on PayPal

  How do I purchase upgrade credits on PayPal. I want to upgrade ro use my domain name. I am not finding a link. What am I missing?

  Hey there, did you take a look at the FAQ for it?

  Domain Mapping

  A: Here of course! Simply login to your WordPress.com Dashboard, click on Settings -> Domains and enter the domain you wish to purchase in the provided textbox. Click Add domain to blog. If the domain is available, it will allow you to purchase it and map it to your WordPress.com blog.

  I did check the FAQs and didn’t find this particular issue addressed. I already have the domain. when i go the the domain section of Upgrades and enter it. I get a message about not having any credits. Yet it doesn’t give ma place to buy credits. At least not that I can find.

  Ok, I’ve jsut tried this with one of my other blogs that doesn’t have domain mapping currently.

  First of all, have you set your nameservers to point towards wordpress?

  Q: I own domain.com, can I map that to my wordpress.com blog?
  A: Yes! Here is what you need to do: Go to your domain registrar and change the nameservers to the following, being sure to remove any existing nameservers that may be there:

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  If your registrar needs the IP addresses:

  72.232.101.25
  76.74.159.137
  64.34.177.159

  Then you need to wait. DNS propagation could take up to 72 hours – though it is frequently less. Go to http://dnsstuff.com. At the bottom of the page there is a WHOIS Lookup box – enter your domain name. If it says our nameservers, you can proceed here. If it does not you need to wait some more until it does.

  Once you’ve done that, go to Upgrades -> Domains. It’s at the left bottom sidebar in your dashboard. Enter your domain in the box provided there.

  If the nameservers have been set you’ll get told you can add it and there’ll be an option ro take you to paypal to buy the ten credits.

  Got it. I thought i had to do the upgrade prior to redoing the settings. Thanks.
