Purchasing Guided Transfer to move blog to a non-recommended host (Wired Tree)
-
I need to purchase a Guided Transfer for my WordPress.com site to go to a WordPress.org site. We do not want to use one of the “recommended hosts.” Can we purchase this Guided Transfer to be used on our chosen host – Wired tree?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Flagged for the staff to answer –
I suspect the Recommended hosts are your only choice – that makes it easier for the staff that do the transfers – each host is a bit different someplace and the recommended hosts would also be sure to meet the requirements to run the WordPress.ORG software – not all hosts are equal – even when they say “meets WordPress requirements”

auxclass is correct.
What does the Guided Transfer include?
Installing the WordPress software at the recommended host of your choice. http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/Staff have confirmed that in another thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/guided-transfer-questions-1?replies=5#post-1092662

At this time, we can only provide Guided Transfer to the hosts listed at http://get.wp.com/hosting/
You can still transfer yourself by installing WordPress from http://wordpress.org/ on your desired hosting provider.
Once that’s done, you can move your content following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress at:

http://codex.wordpress.org/We do offer yearly and one-time premium support packages for self-hosted WordPress sites through our VIP program, available at http://vip.wordpress.com
