    can i purchase only domain name without any plan? if i do that, will wordpress host my domain which i bought in wordpress itself?

    Hi there,

    You can buy a domain name only, without buying a plan. But then you won’t be able to set the domain as the primary address on your site.

    In other words, your domain will redirect to your free http://simplyread360.wordpress.com/ address, but visitors will see that address in their browser, not your domain.

    To have your domain appear in the browser address bar, your site has to be on a paid plan.
