purchasing options not working

  have tried three times today to upgrade site; the secure checkout is eternally stuck on ‘almost there – we’re currently finalizing your offer’ page. Any thoughts? (Other than ‘don’t upgrade…’)

  Hi Mary! Thanks for checking in about this. While we have very limited information, it sounds like the checkout process was hung while waiting for an authorization. When you make purchases online, does your bank/card provider require you to authorize the transaction (e.g. by confirming with a code received by SMS; or via an app, or external authenticator) ?

  If so, then it might be that the checkout was waiting for this authorization and didn’t get it so it couldn’t complete.

  Just out of curiosity, which plan were you aiming for? Depending on what you’d want to do with the site here on WordPress.com we could possibly offer some suggestions that might be useful!
