    Below are the only accepted means of payment.

    WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

    If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country or pay in Bitcoin.

    In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

    The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

    The credit card went through the next time I tried it. I don’t understand what was the problem the first time.

    I don’t like this way of getting help – I need to get direct help. Not public.

    I’m happy to hear that it has worked for you now. There are millions blogging here and only 225 or so Staff so expecting hand holding support in unrealistic. We have excellent support docs and your support options are found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/

    If you have more questions to ask you can speak up here as there is no phone support. This is a peer support forum where Staff and Volunteers work together cooperatively to provide WordPress.com support. Emailing support means it takes longer to get an answer than posting to the support forums does.

    Volunteers answer the majority of all support questions and when we cannot provide support we tag threads for Staff assistance.

    We are happy to answer your WordPress.COM questions right here in this thread. Please simply post exactly what you need help with into this thread, knowing there’s rarely ever a question posted here that has not already been asked and answered.

    well, your set up allows more flexibility than weebly, which is nice, but the cost is that if you are not a person who speaks computer language, you can hardly even find your way back to receive the answer given. It feels to me much like being lost in a maze. Or drowning.

    For example, this “answer” to a question about removing a searchbox: #branding #search {
    display: none;
    }
    is nearly meaningless as an answer to me.
    Where do I put it?
    How do I get to the page where it is meant to go?

    Now I understand why weebly won the awards it did — and still, it is frustrating to be so limited as one is there.

    I got rid of the search box.
    I need help changing Chateau to one of the other allowable formats. No sidebar.

    I need help putting Chateau into one of its other allowable formats. Someone else began another pformat post about this, but resolved the matter before getting an answer. So, there is no answer available.
