Push notifications

  Hi,

  I would like to know if it is possible that all followers of my blog can get push notifications of any new posts and any comments made on that post.

  As I understand it I can get push notifications, but I want all the followers to get the notifications.

  Hi Tom,

  If a visitor to your site subscribes and opts to receive email notifications of your new publications, they will receive them.

  It’s entirely up to your blog’s followers how and if they receive notifications of your posts and/or comments.

  What I am really looking for is that they get push notifications rather than email notifications. It seems as though they can only get the email notification?

  Ah, I see!

  They can receive push notification on their mobile devices, but only if they utilize the WordPress app, and only if they’ve opted to configure push notification in this manner.

  That’s the only possibility.

  With WordPress.org/self-hosted sites, I know there are plugins that may allow for you to configure push notifications, but this isn’t currently available on WordPress.com sites.
