Pushing WordPress.com posts to our Website
-
I need to find a way to have our WordPress blog posts show up on our Library website. We were able to do it in the past but needed to find a new way that would work with our newer web design. I cannot seem to find options to do this. Thank you in advance.

Hi there.
My suggestion is to have your tech folks create a subdomain for your website. For instance, if your site is fhsu.edu, the subdomain would look like this: blog.fhsu.edu.
After that’s setup, you’ll map your subdomain so it “points” to your WordPress.com site.
The instructions for that setup can be found here:
en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/Then, you can build and manage your blog here at WordPress.com. All visitors to your site will be able to click your “blog” link and read your blog at blog.fhsu.edu (or whatever works for you).
Please do let your network technicians know that WordPress.com sites cannot be mapped to folders (ie. fhsu.edu/blog), but they must use a subdomain instead.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!
