Put a follow button for wordpress.com users on my website

  Follow Button Creation

  I tried using this form to generate a follow button for my self-hosted blog.

  I know that wp.com and wp.org are different and already asked on wp.org but haven’t got a good response on what to do.

  I thought at first that this form will work for any blog (hosted or self-hosted), but it seems to generate buttons only for wp.com hosted blogs.

  How do I go about implementing this button on my blog? If the form does not support that, can I have a “example.wordpress.com” mapped to my self-hosted blog – to circumvent the problem?

  Hi there – That follow button is only for WordPress.com, but if you use the Jetpack plugin on your self-hosted site, you’ll get WordPress.com subscriptions and the Follow Blog widget.
