Putting a guest post on blog
-
I have a guest post I want to post on my blog. Is there a way of doing this so their name appears as the author instead of mine?
Or do they have to go through the whole process of setting up their own blog on wordpress and then setting my blog as one of their alternatives.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes. If you’d like to invite others to publish posts or help approve comments on your blog, you can invite them to be a Contributor, Editor, or Author.

Oh for goodness sake. Ignore that as it does not apply. http://opentheword.org/ is NOT is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and you are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

No this is a wordpress.com site. I just have my own url.
Basically, they have to set up a wordpress.com account/blog and then from there post the article. I was just hoping there was a way of avoiding that for a one-off article.
Thanks

Oops! Sorry about that. http://opentheword.org/ is indeed a free hosted WordPress.com blog so my first response was correct.

They can send you the Post in an email or Word Processing document and you can paste it in – just be sure to use the Paste from Word or the Text buttons on the second row ( funny looking T & W )
