It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
For creating a post see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#publish-a-new-post
For creating a page see here

http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the step by step Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

Things are beginning to gel now. Thank you for the url’s.
I will continue to review them and try not to bother you anymore! -
Are you intending to have static front page like a welcome page and have your posts appear on a different page instead of the front page?
By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

I would like to stay with WordPress, but now I am very confused.
Being new to this, in setting up my own Blog, which tutorial provides a step by step instructions, terminologies, and help a newbie to understand what needs to be done to get started and correctly.I will try to google on information on being a blogger and researching more, but would like to use your service.
-
If you use Google what you will get is instructions that apply to WordPress.ORG software installs. I don’t recommend that because your have a free hosted WordPress.COM blog the two are completely separate and different.
WordPress>COM vs WordPress >ORG -
So if I go to support and read each topic on the right hand side then I might develop a better understanding on how to set this Blog up?
I will have more time tomorrow to devote to doing this. I think most of my problem is with the terminology with the Dashboard, and all the things that I can do when setting up the Blog.
Does the $99 upgrade provide more of a one on one support?
-
Don’t buy an upgrade to get email support. Don’t buy any upgrade at all until your have blogged for at least a month here. You can get support here much, much faster than you can by email. This may help you understand some of the jargon used on this platform:

What’s key is understanding the differences between Pages and Posts. -
Does the $99 upgrade provide more of a one on one support?
One on one support is available but you have to hire an outside consultant to get it. There are over millions of blogs and bloggers here and Staff cannot possibly provide one on one support.
