Putting a slideshow in my sidebar?
-
If you check out my blog you can see a code right above my meebo box. I tried to put a slideshow there from slide.com. They have a code specifically for wordpress users. As you can see, it doesn’t work. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this something that is not allowed on wordpress even though there is a code for it? I saw it on someone else’s blog (I belive it was a WP blog) which gave me the idea.

Oh, that’s too bad. May I ask why? Does it have to do with security? If I upgrade will it be allowed?

I think the filter to change that code to what is needed to display the slideshow is only applied to post and Page content. The hook doesn’t apply to the sidebar.
That’s pretty much standrad with wordpress plugins.,

OKAY! I’m with Brackfamily … R-E-A-L-L-Y … add the slide.com to the sidebar already!!! If Flickr can be there certainly slide.com can…
P-L-E-A-S-E ????????????????????????

You need to send feedback to staff with the feature request. Include the reasons why you want to see it included in the sidebar.

Did this ever get resolved? I am looking for a similar thing for a site I am building and I think this would work.
