putting a twitter widget on a free theme
-
Hi. I tried to copy and paste a twitter widget code – many times – into the twitter widget code space on my free theme. But it wouldn’t take. Am I doing something wrong? I copied and pasted the whole line – and not just the number. It was virtually impossible just to paste the number alone.
Thanks

What happens when you try to paste the Twitter widget ID alone?

Hi Music Doc
Thanks for your reply. I didn’t actually succeed in getting the number by itself. In Twitter (create Widget) the whole line high-lighted blue. I ended up giving up in my attempts to tease out the number. In the end, I thought it made sense to copy and paste the whole line. Someone on Twitter said they had also had problems inserting the code on a free theme. Maybe you just can’t do it if a theme is free?

Apparently that doesn’t work. If you continue to have trouble copying and pasting the code, I would suggest typing the numbers into the appropriate box in the widget. If that fails then ask for Staff attention by adding the tag “modlook” to this topic (box in right sidebar). I’m sure Staff would be glad to assist you.
