Putting an image in a write-up

Hi, I just signed up. I wrote my first page successfully with just one hitch. I want my stories to have pictures in them for better illustration purpose. I have uploaded the picture on the media section of my page but i do not know how to make it appear in the story.

Hi!
While editing your post you can find Post settings in the right column and there you have section Featured image, click on Set Featured Image and choose the image you already uploaded or upload the new one.

Thanks Olga, just that the image appeared at the top of the post. What i wanted was to control the image to appear at a certain part of the post. More like an illustration to a narration that i have written. Take for example, when i say ‘the little boy was slapped’ an image of a cartoon been slapped should come up right there before the next paragraph.

Oh, I see!
You have “+” sign right under your title. Set your cursor on the place where you want to see your picture and then click on that “+” and choose the image you already uploaded or upload the new one.
