Putting audio player within posts

  Hi,
  I’ve tried every variation from this post to try and get an audio player on my site without luck.

  How do I get music on my blog?

  I’ve got the space upgrade and would like to upload an mp3 to my wordpress.com blog and then have it play within my post (not just the mp3 link which takes you to a quicktime player in another page).

  What do I do? I’ve tried the basic search function at the top of the page but it justs takes me to that faq.

  I finally got it to work! I had to type in the [ ] brackets like that instead of copying and pasting them from the other site! Sweet!

  Yes – for us to actually place that code into the FAQ article (without having the audio player display as a result of the shortcode), we needed to place empty STRONG tags within the brackets. I will make a note of it in the article so other users do not run into the same issues.

  Hi – I’m having the same problem, can you be more specific – what ‘other site’ did you copy and paste from? When you typed in the [], what part of the link did you replace, if any? I upgraded so I could upload an mp3 file to my blog; have just spent the past hour and half trying to figure it out to no avail…. any help would be greatly appreciated!

  You simply get the URL of the uploaded mp3 and paste it using this formula:
  [audio URL]
