Putting background image into theme

  How do I put a background image into my theme on wordpress. I know the css code, but I don’t know where to put the image on wordpress for the code to pull the image. Where do I put it? Thank you.

  You do not need css to have a backgroung image on Twenty Eleven. You can upload a background with this link for free:

  If you want to upload an image to your blog, you can use the media library:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/#upload-images-from-your-computer

  But 1tess is right that you don’t need to do it that way if you can use the Appearance > Background tab in your blog dashboard instead.
