Putting blog posts on certain pages

  When I write a blog post it only shows up on my homepage. I was wondering if there was a way that I could also put certain posts on the relevant page. I don’t know whether I need a certain theme to do this or whether I am just not understanding the site.

  This can be achieved with most themes using a custom menu and category pages: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

  I am trying to create posts on two different pages (One page is my main blog and the other is my creative writing page). I published one of my post under a certain category in order to create a new page and it worked. However, that post is published on both my main blog and my creative writing page. How do I make it possible for posts to only publish on one page?
