Putting border around side bar and blog

    HI there! I am very new at wordpress and would like to put a fairly thin black border around the widgets on my side bar and the main boy of the blog post its self. Right now there is a sort of grey shadow. I should make it known I know nothing about code, but I do have at least half a brain so if someone was so kind to guide me through what to do im sure I could get it done. It is the adventure theme from Organic themes. He is the site:
