putting my blog "on hold"

  I don’t want to delete my blog, I plan on renewing my domain hosting with WordPress but would like to keep everything on my blog the way it is for the time being, but have anything show up while I consider doing a changeover. Can I make it come up blank with nothing but a simple “under re-construction” type message only?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  you can make your blog private. So no one will be able to view it, unless they have an invitation.

  Or you could create a static page to say your blog is under construction
