Putting portfolio link on LinkedIn
-
Hi! The past few months every time I go to upload my site on Linkedin (just as a link) it automatically develops the old image I had on my main page of this site. I read a LinkedIn article that said after you change the image it could take a bit to change but it has been months. I’m not sure if there is something I can do on WP itself to make the upload show my new picture. Thanks!

Hi there,
It sounds like the old post preview image is stuck in the cache on LinkedIn’s end, so they’re just using that cached image instead of checking your site for a new image.
To fix this, you need to clear the cache on LinkedIn’s end. You do this via their Post Inspector tool.
Our support page at https://wordpress.com/support/linkedin-image-thumbnail/#image-thumbnail-problems-faqs explains in detail what you need to do – you can follow this process any time LinkedIn uses the wrong image for a post preview.
