Putting post under menu heading
-
Hi, the new posts (Chitwan and Pokhara) I have put on my blog wont allow me to put it under my Nepal menu. Is there a maximum number of posts or is it another problem?
Thanks, Rhian
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am unaware of any limit on the number of sub menu items you can have other than the practical limit when it is longer than a visitor’s monitor is tall and then some of it gets hidden at the bottom of the screen.
Do those two posts show up at appearance > menu in the custom menu? Did you remember to “save” the menu after adding them?

I click on them on the recent post and then add to menu. I then drag them under Nepal heading like I have done to all the others and saved it. When it saves it puts them back not under the Nepal heading.
Thanks

I’ll tag this thread to have it moved to the themes forum so that one of the theme team will see it and hopefully tell us what is going on. If there is a limit, it seems that the limit they have set is too low in my opinion.

The Pokhara one was under the heading yesterday but I deleted it off the menu and then added it again but now it wont go back under it. Thanks

I just put 11 submenu items on one of my test blogs (pages, not posts but it should not matter). They are under the about menu.

Just a thought: it might be that you can’t put a submenu with the same name as a parent menu. I’ve had problems like this myself in the past with both menus and categories. It gets confused and ‘thinks’ you’re trying to repeat the same thing. Maybe try adding a numeral or something to it?

I deleted my menu, now I’ve just got the default home and about us page. When I go to the menu options now though it doesn’t show my recent posts any longer. It has custom links, pages and categories. Am I going to have to change all my posts to pages to get them under a heading?
Absurdoldbird, I really am not sure what at submenu or a parent menu are.
It’s just weird that it’s not longer showing me my recent posts

No, go to screen options at upper right and activate “posts” so that the module will show.

I’ve done that now, can see them and have added all my posts again. I have
Nepal – Category
Then my posts that I’ve dragged over slightly to put under the Nepal category, They stay there then when I save they go back still. -
@theadventuresofrahrahandcrisp,
Custom Menu is working as expected in the theme you use, Coraline. In order to add posts as submenu of Nepal, those posts needs to be slightly indented like this screenshot. http://cl.ly/243V0y231c2z2V1v3r2k
Please have a look this support document if this is not clear enough.
