Putting stories under menu items
-
I’m going to start this off by saying I’ve never used WordPress before and I’m pretty computer dumb.
I have my site homepage set up, but I have categories at the top of what I want each story I write to go under (sports, music, reporting, photography). What I can’t figure out is how to put stories that I write under each category. (I’m okay with the stories also showing up on the homescreen, but I want them to be organized too). Any help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, no problem, we’d be happy to help. I just wish to confirm though, are you referring to http://caracooper5.wordpress.com/? I’m asking because that site hasn’t been updated in four years, so please let us know the URL of the website you’re referring to. :)

Okay, thank you. Right now, I see that you’ve created the Music, Reporting and Photography pages (and “Call Me”, but I assume you don’t want a child page under that).
What you’re describing can be created through Child Pages. You can learn how to create them here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-sub-pages-page-order
However, this will only work if you don’t want the child pages to display posts included in a certain category. If you wish for the sub-pages to be posts in a certain category, you’d need to create a Category Page as a sub-page instead: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
Let us know if you have any further questions or issues after reading one of those links, depending on what you wish to do. :)

Thanks so much! I figured out how to get the stories under different pages, but when I click on that page from the home screen nothing shows up. Is there a way to get it to where all the child pages show up under each page, sort of like a news website?
