Putting stuff in the righthand column

  We’re really new to blogging, so apologies if this question is really thick…

  We’re using the Highwind theme.

  How do you put stuff in the right hand column that isn’t already in the wordpress widget list (for example, the Urban Spoon symbol)?

  All widgets are installed and uninstalled at > Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets

  All themes here will display a default display that appears to contain a sample set of widgets in the sidebar and/or sidebar when you have not yet added any of your own. Go to Appearance > Widgets and add the widgets you desire and configure them and the default display will disappear.
