Putting www back in name

  Sorry for what probably has been asked before, but….

  My blog address is currently http://moneyedpoliticians.net
  How do I change it to http://www.moneyedpoliticians.net?

  well, they both seem to redirect to moneyepoliticians.wordpress.com so unless you’re going to map the domain, I don’t see how this is an issue, whether it’s www or without.

  Can’t do it here at wordpress.com, the www is replaced by your blog name. To have a www you will have to get your own domain, hire a web host (self host) and download the software from wordpress.org.

  I would like www because most people use it before a url, and the way it is they get an unfound page.

  Hello there,
  thesacredpath is right. wordpress chose not to have “www” in their url’s and we cannot over-ride this. The choice was made because many people using the net and some search engines cannot access url’s with “www”. You can verify this by using the forum search box. It makes no sense to go on about this here as the decision has been made. However, id you wish, you can wait until support hours on Monday and send in a contact to staff who will simply repeat this to you.

  Also note that there is a 404 problem that staff are working on https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=15638
