PW required every time for protected post?

  With the current wordpress settings, it seems like after entering the password to a protected post once, it won’t be required again unless cookies are cleared from the browswer that was used.

  Is there a way to configure the post so that password will be required each time ANYONE tries to access it? It just seems to be more secure if this is possible; after all, that’s the reason for protecting a post, right?

  No.

  If you want each post to be secured differently you will need a different password.

  As for the reason, the assumption is that those posts you want someone to read the password you would not change as it would annoy those visitors to continually enter the password.
