  [Q] How can I “remove” or “delete” an “email follower” who has asked me to remove them ?

  I don’t think you can do it for them.
  They have to “unsubscribe” themselves when they get the email notifying them of your latest post.
  It’s on the email they get from WordPress – I’m pretty sure.

  You can’t: they have to do it themselves. In every email there’s a link at the bottom to Unsubscribe.
