Qs about ssl for mapping domain
-
Hi, I’m planning to map the WordPress domain to the one I’ve owned on GoDaddy. I want to confirm will the address be with ssl after I upgrade the plan? I mean, like, currently what I saw under Google index is https://ludenscraft.wordpress.com/, will the address become to https://ludenscraft.com/ if I finish the domain mapping?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello!
The domain at GoDaddy would be used to point to your WordPress.com site using ‘mapping’, and so yes, it will become https://ludenscraft.com/.
I hope that helps, and let me know if you have any other questions!

Just to add, you will need a WordPress.com Personal plan as a minimum, but that would include free mapping to your site.

Cool, thanks for your answer. So I don’t need to purchase SSL from GoDaddy, right? Just want to confirm that I don’t need to pay more except WordPress plan.

That’s correct.
Here’s some info on mapping: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

Hi there,
Just to clarify, we automatically add SSL for any domain mapped to WordPress.com’s servers, whether the domain is registered with us or elsewhere, and even for your free *.wordpress.com address. There is no additional cost for this.
Also note for future reference, that SSL must always be set up with your host, not your domain provider. So the only time you’d buy an SSL cert from GoDaddy, is if your site was hosted on their servers instead of ours. (And strictly speaking you don’t need to buy an SSL certificate, as you can get one for free from letsencrypt.org, though most hosts will still charge you a fee to add it to your domain.)
