Queries on header.php

Hi there, I’m new to blogging. Decided to try out wordpress. Spent sometimes n I found out to enter script into header.php, but I can’t seem to locate the link to download or edit header.php. Hope can have some advice thanks

We cannot edit the underlying theem PHP script files here at wordpress.COM because this is a multi-user platform which means we all share the same underlying theme and wordpress files. Any change by one person would change it for everyone using that theme.

You can only edit the PHP script files only if you pay to self-host a wordpress.COM blog somewhere like godaddy, bluehost, etc.
This gives you the basic differences between wordpress.COM and hosting your own site using the software from wordpress.ORG.

Ic understand. Thanks for the reply. Cos just pay up for the CSS upgrading n realize I can’t actually add the script.
So does wordpress.com support embedding codes from facebook “like” etc? “Like” for each page or each picture?
Cos if not, I will have to go to wordpress.org rite? In order to use it, I have to apply for a domain name n data hosting services from eg. Godaddy? Thanks again

Yes, the CSS upgrade is just to make changes to the CSS, and cannot be used to add or change functionality.
WordPress.COM has a sharing feature with all the popular sites on it, and you can even add your own if they do not have the one you want.
