Hi there.
The home page of a blog by default displays all posts in reverse-chronological order. That’s called the main feed. Different themes display the main feed differently, in your case the main feed shows a thumbnail of the featured image with the post title. As you publish more posts, they will also appear on your home feed, the newest ones always as the top.
Under the contact-tab on your site you have placed a single post’s permalink. That means only that one post will ever appear under that tab, i.e. even if you publish new posts that Hello World post will still appear when you click on Contact. Adding individual posts to your menu, while possible, is not necessarily a good idea as you should rather use your menu to list pages.
Now, while your main feed will always display all your posts, you can create filtered feeds that only show specific posts. To do that you need to create category pages. If you set up a page for a specific category, only posts that have that category assigned will appear under that menu tab. You can’t set a category page as your home page.
You create category pages via the custom menu, but you first need to publish some posts and add categories to them before you try to set up category pages. Trying to create category pages before you have any posts make things needlessly complicated in the long run.
For instructions on creating category pages, see these links:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/If you don’t want your main feed to appear on the home page, you can set a regular static page as your home page. Then you need to create another page that will hold your main feed, or skip that step if you don’t want your main feed to appear anywhere. Your contact page isn’t a page. It’s a post that you added to the menu. ALL posts appear on the home page, whether or not you’ve also added them to the menu. You need to create a PAGE to appear under Contact in the menu. Pages won’t appear on your home page.
I suggest you work through the WordPress.com tutorials so you can learn the difference between a post and a page, then read my explanation above and the linked support documents again. I really can’t make it any clearer than I already have.
The tutorials can be found here: http://learn.wordpress.com/

1 – Please turn of your CAPS LOCK. There’s no need to shout.
2 – Follow my advice and work through the tutorials I linked. They explain all of that.
Short version, open that post and copy the content. Then go to Pages ->Add New, paste the content into that page and publish it. Then go to Appearance ->Menus, remove the post from the menu and add the page you just created. See the Custom Menus support doc I linked above for instructions how to do that.

I find it difficult to communicate with you over email. This is a much simpler explanation thanks
However the contact content is still displaying on my home page and I cannot remove the post from the menu as there is nothing there?

That’s because it is still a published post and all published posts appear on the home page. You can go to Posts ->All Posts to delete it, but that will remove it from both the home page and the contact page, as I see you still have a post up under Contact in the menu rather than a page. In other words, it’s the exact same post that’s appearing in two places.
Go to Appearance -Menus. Delete the menu you have active there.
Then go to Pages ->Add New, create a page with your contact details and publish it.
Then go to Posts ->All Posts and delete the post called Contact.
Don’t do add anything back under Menus. The new contact page should appear on your menu by itself the moment you publish it.
Work through the tutorial, especially the section on posts and pages, and this will make much more sense to you.

Logo size is determined by your theme, so if your theme has it set to a specific size, there’s no way for you to make it larger.
You can override your theme’s settings by using CSS, but to do that you need the Premium or Business upgrade bundle. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

I can see your page just fine at https://thejewishbachelorette.wordpress.com/contact/ The problem is it’s not appearing on the menu, as you have a custom menu active.
Go to this link: http://thejewishbachelorette.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
In the menu to the left, click on Appearance ->Menus.
At the bottom of that screen should be a link in red that says “Delete Menu”. Click on that and confirm.
Is there a quicker way we can communicate?
I’m afraid not. If you have a Business upgrade you can get a live chat with a staff member, but for free blogs this forum is all we have.

You can, but that is a paid upgrade. You can either buy a custom domain like that on its own, or you can buy it as part of the Premium or Business upgrade bundle. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

I quickly tested it and it worked fine for me. If your friend has a WordPress.com account and is having trouble with this, ask them to create their own thread in this forum to get help with that.
If they don’t have a WordPress.com account, ask them to make sure that they’ve clicked the confirmation link in the email they received when they followed your site. They can also check whether or not they are subscribed via this link: https://subscribe.wordpress.com/
