Query re updating image hyperlink on web pages
-
Where do I go to update the hyperlink on an embedded image on my website?
-
Hi there,
For what site is this?
To update where a particular image link to, you’ll need to edit the specific post or page on which that image appears. Click on the image, and then either click the link icon or the pencil icon that appears to update the image URL. Which options appear would depend on which version of WordPress and which editor you’re using.

It is on the website meetyoursweetheart.net
When I click on the image all I get is the “hand” symbol showing the link. I cannot find anywhere to click to update the image.
Do I view the page, or use the Elementor editor?
I’m new to this. I had a programmer insert the image but if I want to update the link I want to know how to do this.

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.

This is all rather confusing for me. Who do I contact for support for my queries on WordPress?

WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
